Bradford City will be hoping to pick up their first win of the year in a must-win match against bottom of the league Southend United on Tuesday night.

Last time out, Bradford City earned a valuable point against high-flying Cambridge United whilst Southend United lost 0-1 to Mansfield Town with Timothee Dieng receiving a red card.

The Bantams won 3-0 in the reverse meeting at Valley Parade in November, last did a league double over Southend in League One in 2015-16.

Southend United are winless in their last three league games (D1 L2), with their last league win coming against Barrow 1-0 at home in their first match of the year.

Bradford City are unbeaten in their last four away games (W2 D2), with the Bantams last losing an away league encounter in December 2020 against Oldham Athletic (1-3).

It was a late equaliser for Harrogate last time out.

Elsewhere in League Two on Tuesday night, Harrogate Town will travel back to the North West to face Tranmere Rovers.

The Sulphurites were involved in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Salford City on Friday night, with Jack Muldoon and Ed Francis scoring for Harrogate.

Tranmere Rovers beat ten-man Bolton Wanderers at the weekend, with an early goal from Danny Lloyd and James Vaughan converting a penalty.

This will be the second League Two meeting between Tranmere and Harrogate after the Rovers won 1-0 in Yorkshire in November.

This is Harrogate’s second competitive away game at Tranmere this season, drawing the first 1-1 in the League Cup in September before progressing after a penalty shootout.

Tranmere Rovers are unbeaten in their last four league games (W2 D2), with their last loss coming against Bradford City at home in December 2020 (0-1).

Harrogate Town have won three of their six away league games (D1 L2), failing to score only once during this run – against Morecambe in December 2020 (0-1).

Disappointment for Leeds against Brighton.

Leeds United will travel to Tyneside to face Newcastle United on Tuesday evening in the Premier League.

The Whites lost 0-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out whilst their opponents, Newcastle, lost 2-0 to Aston Villa at the weekend.

Newcastle United last hosted Leeds United for a league match in April 2017 in the Championship, drawing 1-1 with Chris Wood netting a 90th minute equaliser for the Whites.

Leeds won 5-2 against Newcastle in December in the reverse Premier League meeting, last completing a league double over the Magpies in the 1975-76 campaign under Jimmy Armfield, which was also the last time they won back-to-back league games against the Magpies.

Leeds have lost their last three games in all competitions by an aggregate score of 0-7. They last lost four in a row back in November 2017, while they last lost as many consecutively without scoring in April 2010.

Full back Harry Toffolo.

Huddersfield Town will travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City in the Championship on Tuesday night.

Both of these sides last fixture was against Millwall, with the Terriers losing 0-1 at home in the league and the Robins winning 0-3 in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Bristol City have won their last three home league games against Huddersfield, scoring at least four goals in every victory: 4-0 in both 2015/16 and 2016/17 & 5-2 in 2019/20.

Huddersfield’s last away league win against Bristol City was back in April 2013, winning 3-1 with a hat-trick from James Vaughan.

The Terriers have won just four of their last 25 away league matches (D7 L14) and have won none of their last seven league matches on the road (D2 L5).

Robins forward Chris Martin has been directly involved in seven goals in his last eight league appearances against Huddersfield (6 goals, 1 assist).

Victory on the South Coast for Hull.

Finally, in League One, Hull City will travel to the Wham Stadium to face Accrington Stanley on Tuesday.

The Tigers won 0-4 last time out, with goals from George Honeyman, Josh Magennis and two own goals from Pompey defender Jack Whatmough.

Accrington’s last game happened to be a 3-0 defeat to Hull, with Mallik Wilks and Gavin Whyte scoring before Cameron Burgess saw red and Magennis added a third from a penalty.

This will be the third meeting between the Accrington Stanley and Hull City in all competitions, the first meeting ended in a 2-2 draw in the League Cup.

Hull City have one win from their last four away matches in League One (D2 L1), although that win came in their last fixture.
