Doncaster Rovers face a season-defining test on Saturday when they play Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.

Last time out, Donny cruised past AFC Wimbledon by two goals to nil at the Keepmoat Stadium with goals from Fejiri Okenabirhie and Taylor Richards.

The Imps secured an important win in midweek, beating ten-man Portsmouth 0-1 with a goal from Morgan Rodgers.

Rovers skipper, Tom Anderson.

Lincoln City are winless in their last seven meetings against Doncaster Rovers in third tier of English Football (D3 L4).

The last time the Imps won against the Rovers in the third tier of the English League was in October 1982 (5-1).

Doncaster Rovers have won just one of their four away games against Lincoln City (D1 L2) in English third-tier football.

Donny have won each of their last three away games in League One, last winning four on the bounce in the league away from home back in November 2012.

Chris Wilder mastermind a big victory last time out.

In the Premier League, Sheffield United will be hoping to complete an away Manchester double when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Sheffield United beat Manchester United in midweek at Old Trafford, with Oli Burke and Kean Bryan helping the Blades to a 1-2 win.

City cruised past West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night, with Ilkay Gundogan (twice), Joao Cancelo, Riyad Marhez and Raheem Sterling contributing to a 0-5 win.

The Blades have not won a Premier League match against Manchester City in nine attempts (D3 L6), scoring just one goal across those games, a Brian Deane goal in a 1-1 draw in April 1993.

Only West Bromwich Albion vs Liverpool (0) have scored fewer goals in their first nine Premier League meetings against an opponent than Sheffield United vs Man City (1).

No team has ever scored just one goal in their first 10 games against an opponent in the competition.

Following their 2-1 victory at Old Trafford in the week, Sheffield United are aiming to win away at both Manchester clubs in the same top-flight season for the first time since 1973-74.

The last side to do so in the top-flight was Liverpool in 2008-09, while the last side to do so in consecutive games was Liverpool in April 1982.

Crooks enjoyed his goal last time out.

In the Championship, Rotherham United will welcome highflying Swansea City to the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday.

The Millers fired three past Middlesbrough on Wednesday night at the Riverside Stadium, with Matt Crooks, Michael Smith and Ryan Giles scoring for Rotherham.

Swansea drew 1-1 with Brentford despite going a man down with Kyle Naughton seeing red, whilst Connor Hourihane managed to salvage a draw.

Rotherham have not lost three consecutive league games against Swansea City since a run of four between 1979 and 1985.

Smith’s goal against Stoke in their 3-3 draw at the New York Stadium was his 18th league goal at the stadium, making him the Millers’ all-time top league scorer there since moving in 2012, overtaking Lee Frecklington and Daniel Nardiello on 17 goals.

Tough pill to swallow for the Owls.

Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping to bounce back after a disappointing midweek result when they face Preston North End at Hillsborough in the Championship.

Wednesday lost 2-0 away to Coventry City last time out whilst Preston drew 0-0 with Reading on Sunday.

The Owls have won five of their last six home league games against Preston (L1), although the one defeat came in their most recent encounter at Hillsborough (1-3 in July 2020).

Preston are looking to win four consecutive league games against Sheffield Wednesday since a run of five between 1981 and 2002.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking to win four consecutive home league matches for the first time since January 2016.

Former striker Kieffer Moore denied the Tykes three points in midweek.

Finally, Barnsley will travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the Championship.

The Tykes drew 2-2 with Cardiff City in midweek, with Mads Andersen and Cauley Woodrow grabbing the goals.

Forest’s last game was in the FA Cup where they were humiliated by Swansea City, losing 5-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Nottingham Forest have lost their last three games against Barnsley in all competitions, their worst losing run against the Tykes since March 1932 (also three in a row).

Barnsley are looking to complete a league double over Nottingham Forest for the first time since the 2005/06 season in League One.

Woodrow has been directly involved in all three of their goals against Nottingham Forest in all competitions this season (2 goals, 1 assist).
