Barnsley will host Wycombe Wanderers in the Championship on Wednesday night at Oakwell.

Last time out, the Tykes were well beaten by AFC Bournemouth, losing 4-0 at home on Friday night, whilst Wycombe drew 2-2 with Preston North End thanks to goals from Garath McCleary and Scott Kashket.

Wycombe’s 2-2 draw at Preston was only the second time they have scored more than once in a Championship game this season (9 goals in 16 games in total).

The Tykes have lost three of their last four league games (W1), as many as in their previous 11 combined.

Barnsley and Wycombe last faced in 2018/19 in League One, with the home team winning both games, including a 2-1 Barnsley victory at Oakwell.

Ben Wiles cannot hide his disappointment.

Also, in the Championship, Rotherham United travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford on Tuesday night.

The Millers were turned over at St Andrews by Coventry City, losing 3-1 to the Sky Blues with Dan Barlaser firing in a penalty in the closing stages.

Opponents, Watford, also lost at the weekend, losing 1-0 at home to Cardiff City with Kieffer Moore scoring the only goal of the game.

This is the first meeting between Watford and Rotherham in any competition since February 2015, when the Hornets won 3-0 in a Championship match.

Rotherham United have won just one of their 10 away league games against Watford (D3 L6), a 2-1 win in 2002/03 with Paul Warne substituted on for the Millers when they were trailing 1-0.
