TUXtra interviewing Ross Turnbull

The media has a massive affect on how the public view sport, especially football.

Alone, Yorkshire has five BBC Radio stations, Leeds, Sheffield, York, Humberside and Tees.

This means football coverage in the county is huge, and not only meets its target audiences, but tempts footballers to tune in and listen to what journalists are saying about them.

BBC Tees mainly cover Middlesbrough games but also cover a couple of non-league sides, the main one being Hartlepool United.

Matthew Jones works for BBC Tees and he gave his thoughts on how much he thinks footballers are affected by media coverage.
